Dalian Winter School on Computational Topology
“Dalian Winter School on Computational Topology” will be opened in the period of December 5 to 20, 2016, at Dalian University of Technology (DUT), Dalian, China. The school program will provide with 4 courses on basic aspects of the computational topology, and some frontier reports on modern results and applications of the theory, to the participants who are interested in the area of topology and its applications.
The courses will be given by
(1) Oleg Musin (University of Texas in Brownsville, USA) – 16 lectures
“Introduction to computations in discrete geometry”
(2) Frank Lutz (Technical University of Berlin, Germany) – 10 lectures
“Algorithmic problems and triangulations of 3-manifolds”
(3) Miro Kramar (AIMR, Tohoku University, Japan) – 16 lectures
“Introduction to topological data analysis”
(4) Anton Nikitenko (Institute of Science and Technology, Austria) – 10 lectures
“Introduction to persistent homology”
