Abstract: In this talk, we will report some theoretical results on finite element methods for Helmholtz equation with high wave number including preasymptotic stability and error estimates and superconvergent gradient recovery.

The brief introduction to the reporter: Prof. Wu is worked at Nanjing University. He got bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral degree from Jilin University respectively in 1992, 1995 and 1999(Tutor is Prof. Ronghua Li); Then he engaged in postdoctoral research work in the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He won the new century talent funding and 2012 outstanding achievement award of Jiangsu Province. And in 2015 he won the National Natural Science Foundation of outstanding youth fund.
