Abstract: In this talk, we will study the Fourier analysis on quantum symmetries such as subfactors, quantum groups, modular tensor categories etc. We expect to build connections topologically, algebraically, and analytically in both mathematics and physics. This project potentially benefits many subjects in mathematics and physics such as quantum information, quntum field theory, condensed matter physics etc.
The brief introduction to the reporter: Associate Professor, Institute of Mathematics, Harbin University of Technology. His main research interests are operator algebra, mathematical physics and non-commutative Fourier analysis. He presided over a number of National Natural Science Foundations. Some research results have been published in Journal of Functional Analysis, Pacific Journal of Mathematics, Journal of Operator Theory and other well-known international journals.
