报告摘要：Lattice minimizations arise in crystallization problems, analytical number theory and Bose-Einstein condensate. In this talk I will report my recent work with Senping Luo on Lattice minimization problems. I will cover Muller-Ho Conjecture, Lennard-Jones potential,  and recent resolution of Sarnak-Strombergsson Conjecture.

报告人简介：魏军城教授，著名非线性偏微分方程专家，香港中文大学李卓敏讲座教授，曾任加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学国家讲座教授，2010年获得国家杰出青年科学基金(B类)，2015年入选国家级海外高层次人才计划，先后荣获教育部自然科学一等奖、裘槎基金会优秀科研者奖、国际华人数学家大会晨兴银奖、Simons 基金会数学会士、香港杰出创科学人计划、加拿大数学会 Jefferu-Williams 奖，加拿大皇家科学院院士等国内外殊荣。现任《Journal of Differential Equations》、《Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems》共同主编以及《Journal of Functional Analysis》等十余部国际数学期刊编委。在 De Giorgi 猜想、Toda 系统解的分类、调和映照热流、Jaffe-Taubes 猜想、Allen—Cahn 方程有限 Morse 指标解的分类猜想、Brezis 公开问题等方向做出多项原创性工作，相关论文发表于《Annals of Mathematics》，《Inventiones Mathematicae》，《SIAM Review》，《Duke Mathematical Journal》，《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》，《Journal of the European Mathematical Society》，《Geometric and Functional Analysis》等学术期刊。
