报告摘要:The multistability problem of biochemical reaction systems is crucial for understanding basic phenomena such as decision-making process in cellular signaling. Mathematically, it is a challenging real quantifier elimination problem. We present some recent progress on multistability of small reaction networks.

1) For reaction networks with two reactions (possibly reversible), we find the multistable networks those have the minimum numbers of reactants and species.

2) For reaction networks with one-dimensional stoichiometric subspaces, we give the relation between the maximum numbers of stable steady states and steady states.

3For bi-reaction networks, we completely characterize the bi-reaction networks that admit at least three positive steady states.


报告人简介:唐晓弦,2014年毕业于北京大学数学科学学院并取得博士学位。博士就读期间在美国北卡州立大学联合培养。取得博士学位之后,她先后在韩国国家数学研究所,德国不来梅大学以及美国德州农工大学从事博士后研究, 博后期间曾到布朗大学进行学期访问。她从2019年秋季起任北京航空航天大学卓越百人特聘副研究员。她在Biometrika, SIAM Journal on Applied Dynamical Systems, SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, Journal of Mathematical Biology, Bulletin of Mathematical Biology及Journal of Symbolic Computation等国际一流期刊上发表论文。
