报告摘要:In 1925 Artin defined braid groups B(n) on n strands and found a representation of B(n) by automorphisms of the free group F(n) of rank n. Braid groups are the very useful to study knots in the 3-sphere, since any knot can be defined as a closure of some geometric braid. In 1999 Kaufman introduced the concepts of virtual knots, virtual braids, and virtual braid groups VB(n) on n strands.

The talk will be devoted to flat virtual braid groups FVB(n) on n strands. We will construct infinite families of homomorphisms from FVB(n) to the group of automorphisms of the free group F(2n) of rank 2n. Kernels of constructed homomorphisms will be described.


报告人简介:Andrey Vesnin教授,俄罗斯科学院通讯院士、托木斯克大学教授,新西伯利亚国立大学教授、俄罗斯科学院Sobolev 数学研究所应用分析实验室主任,主要从事双曲流形等方面的研究工作,是代数拓扑领域国际知名专家,多次承担国家研究基金项目,多次主办学术会议。
