报告摘要: Data Processing Inequality (DPI) for quantum relative entropy is a fundamental inequality in quantum information theory. In recent years many variants of quantum relative entropy have been introduced from different perspectives. It is then a natural and important question to ask whether DPI holds for them. This turns out to be closely related to the convexity/concavity of certain trace functions, which is an important topic in matrix analysis. Since Lieb's pioneering work in 1973 resolving the conjecture of Wigner-Yanase-Dyson, the study of convexity/concavity of trace functions has made great progress. In this talk I will give an introduction to DPI and a related conjecture of Audenaert-Datta, and prove a stronger conjecture of Carlen-Frank-Lieb concerning convexity/concavity of a family of trace functions.

报告人简介:张浩楠,2019年获得法国贝桑松大学(导师:许全华)和波兰科学院数学研究所(导师:Adam Skalski)联合培养博士学位,现为奥地利科技学院博士后。主要研究兴趣包括量子群,非交换调和分析,量子信息等。已在Adv. Math., Math. Z., Comm. Algebra, J. Operator Theory等主流杂志上发表多篇论文。
