Time: September 21th - September 25th
Venue: Math Building, Dalian University of Technology,Dalian,China
Conference Introduction:
The Dalian International Mathematics Forum aims to promote exchanges and cooperation among mathematicians from China, Japan and South Korea, and promote the development of mathematics. The conference will provide a platform for academic exchanges among mathematicians from the three countries in the fields of algebra, geometry, and analysis. The conference will allow scholars to present the latest research results, promote the deepening and application of mathematical theories, and provide opportunities for mathematicians to cooperate internationally through conference reports and group reports. Find partners to jointly carry out research.
Main Speakers:
1.Professor Tomohiro Sogabe:Associate Professor,Dept. of Applied Physics, Nagoya University, Japan;Research interests: numerical linear algebra, scientific computing.
2.Professor Yongjin Song:B.S. (Seoul National Univ.), Ph.D. in Topology (Ohio State Univ.); Professor of Mathematics at Inha University since 1991; long-time head of the Korean IMO team and elected IMO Board member.
3.Professor Choi, YunSung:Honorary Professor of the Department of Mathematics at Pohang University of Science and Technology; He has been appointed director of the National Institute of Mathematical Sciences since 2025.
4.Professor Zhenxin Liu:Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Dalian University of Technology; Mainly engaged in the research of stochastic dynamical systems, with a particular focus on the influence of random disturbances on the resilience and stability of dynamical systems.
Organizational form and content:
1. Conference report: The forum will invite renowned mathematicians at home and abroad to give a conference report, introducing the latest research progress, hot issues and future development trends in the field of mathematics.
2. Group reports: Participating experts and scholars will report in groups according to their research fields, exchange research results, and discuss academic issues. This forum will set up three groups of group reports, and three groups will be conducted in parallel.
3. Young Scholars Forum: The forum will establish a Young Scholars Forum, during which the college will hold a seminar on the talent introduction policy of Dalian University of Technology, and have a one-to-one conversation with young scholars, exchanging with the young scholars about the talent introduction policy and treatment of the big industry.
4. Graduate Forum: The forum will establish a graduate forum to encourage graduate students to actively participate in academic exchanges and improve their research capabilities. The college will invite doctoral and postdoctoral fellows from China, Japan and South Korea to participate in the forum and give group reports.
5. Thematic discussions: The forum will organize thematic discussions to explore in depth specific issues in the field of mathematics.
6. Cultural exchanges: During the forum, mathematicians from the three countries will also conduct local cultural exchanges, leading experts to experience the coastal scenery of Dalian Yiren and Chinese culture, and hold a friendly football match between China, Japan and South Korea to enhance the distance between each other.
