报告摘要：Which positive operators in a factor von Neumann algebra can be written as sums of projections? This question is studied by Victor Kaftal, Ping Wong Ng, and Shuang Zhang. They obtained beautiful results on the question. In this talk we report some new progress on the question. This is a joint work with Xinyan Cao, Shilin Wen and Zhaolin Yao.

报告人简介：房军生，教授、博士研究生导师，2009-2015年任教于大连理工大学，2016-今任教于河北师范大学。获得多项国家自然科学基金资助，并获得国家优秀青年基金资助，在Journal of Functional Analysis等国际杂志上发表论文30余篇。
