Abstract: We will talk about sufficient dimension reduction in regression analysis including theory and application.

The brief introduction to the reporter: Dr. Xiangrong Yin is Professor of Statistics Department of University of Kentucky. The main research direction is Sufficient dimension reduction and sufficient variable selection, data mining. Classification and discriminant analysis. Pattern recognition such as face and expression recognition. Time series data analysis. Application of multivariate methods in biology, climate, etc. Fast computing algorithm. Big data analytics. He has published many papers in international top statistical journals such as Annals of Statistics, Journal of American Statistical Association (JASA), Biometrika, Journal of Royal Statistical Society, Series B (JRSS-B), Biometrics and Statistica Sinica. He currently serves as deputy editor of SCI Journal "Journal of Nonparametric Statistic" and served as deputy editor of SCI Journal "Statistica Sinica" and "Statistics and Probability Letters". He was invited to attend international conferences and published reports several times.
