Abstract: This report mainly shares some experience of the application of fluid mechanics in ship and ocean engineering, and focuses on the application of asymptotic analysis in Kelvin ship traveling waves.

The brief introduction to the reporter: 1985-1989: Major in Computational Mathematics, Department of Mathematics, Inner Mongolia University, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. 1989-1992: Master's Degree in Engineering, Harbin Institute of Shipping Engineering. 1999-2004: Ph.D. candidate, School of Marine Engineering, Harbin University of Engineering, with a Ph.D. in Engineering. 2004-2006: Post-doctoral, School of Architectural Engineering, Tianjin University. 2006-2007: Royal Society Research Fellow, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of London, UK. Hydrodynamic calculation and structural strength evaluation of ship and offshore platform in waves; design and analysis of mooring system.
