报告摘要:It is of particular significance in both theories and applications to understand how self-organized particles use limited environmental and simple rules to organize into or a desired emergence. In this talk, we study a modified Cucker-Smale-type system with the simple and local cut-off weight. As new observations, we show that the desired particle system undergoes both periodic flocking and periodic clustering behaviors when the processing delay crosses a threshold value and the eigenvalue 1 of average matrix is semi-simple. In this case, the connectedness of the particle system may be absent. Also, the number of clusters is discussed by using the subspace analysis. In results, some criterion of flocking and clustering emergence with exponential convergent rate are established by the standard functional differential equations analysis when the processing delay is small. When the processing delay reaches the threshold value, the system undergoes periodic flocking and periodic clustering emergence. It also shows that the processing time lags qualitatively change the emergent performances in a nonlinear way.

 

报告人简介:刘易成,国防科技大学教授,博士生导师,湖南省数学学会理事。全国优秀博士论文提名论文作者。现从事时滞自组织系统的集群理论研究,主持基础加强计划重点项目课题、国家自然科学基金面上项目、军内科研重点项目等项目6项;作为主要研究人员参与装备预研重点基金项目、国家自然科学基金、海外合作基金等项目。出版专著1部,教材2部,发表学术论文40余篇。曾受邀赴美国加州大学洛杉矶分校、加拿大约克大学、澳大利亚国立大学、新西兰奥克兰大学学术访问或合作研究。
